The Hostelboat 'Eastern Comfort' is moored directly on the river Spree, between the lively districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in the heart of Berlin. We offer 3 categories - one for every favour.
The boat is opened all the year round and equipped with central heating. Our friendly crew answer your questions. Deck area is accessible for everybody. On the upper deck beverages and snacks are served, while music creates a sociable atmosphere.
In summer time we provide deck chairs, in winter time a fireside and every time the best view you get in Berlin.

Hotel information

The hostelboat 'eastern comfort', moored between two very lively districts in the center of town, looks forward to welcome you onboard with its modern, luxurious atmosphere it´s unique in berlin! Through the portholes of our 2nd class four-bed, triple-bed, single-bed, but mainly double bedcabins, you can see and hear the rippling of the river 'Spree', the main river leading through Berlin. All cabins have their own toilet/shower.
For the one´s of you, who like it very comfortable, we offer 1st class single- and double cabins.
For the colder period of the year, the boat is equipped wih a central heating system in every cabin.

The ship is located in the eastern part of the town, just at the border between the very lively districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, directly at the last piece of the 'wall' (dividing Berlin till 1989) just next to one of the most stunning old bridges crossing the river 'spree'

You can chill out with a german beer, a drink or a little snack, after a long days walk through town in our lounge or on the spacious topsundeck. We offer German Food!

The boat is non smoking, equipped with internet/WLAN, TV room, and a washing mashine and dryer. You may bring your bedding with you or hire it from us (5€). We provide a breakfast buffet (3,00€).

CABINS:
We offer 1st class: large doublebedcabins with showerbath also as singles and 2nd class:singlebed with showerbath, double-bed cabin ('french'-bed (125wide), shower in cabin), three-bed cabin ('french'-bed (125wide) and second bed/showerbath in cabin) and four-bed cabin ( bunk beds (single beds over each other), showerbath in cabin)
We take VISA/MASTER/IC-Card/CASH

Children under 6 years of age, non swimmers, pets are for security reasons not allowed on board.

Room information

25 cabins in 3 categories on 3 decks. Cabins with one to six beds mostly with own bath/toilet.
8x "First Category": spacious rooms with 2 big windows, huge beds and private bathroom in tween deck. Bed linen and towels included.
10x "Second Category": double bed cabin (also for single, twin or triple use) with private bathroom and scuttle, in lower deck. Bring your own bed linen and towels or book it for EUR 5.
6x "Second Category": quadruple cabin with 2 bunk beds, bath with shower and scuttle, in lower deck.Bring your own bed linen and towels or book it for EUR 5.
1x 6 bedded room with 2 bunk beds on the upper deck, with shower on the floor. Bring your own bed linen and towels or book it for EUR 5.
Check in: 4pm,but you can leave your luggage earlier. Check out: 11am.

Area information

The boat is moored between the most beautiful Berlin brigde "Oberbaumbrücke" and „Eastside Gallery“, the longest still existing part of the Berlin Wall". The wall is only 10 m away and only some years ago stepping into this area would had a deadly end. Entering the boat you cross the former gate with its guards and safety fences. Today this area is visited by tourists from all over the world.
Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain with its uncountable bars, restaurants, clubs and cafes are in direct vicinity.

Ostbahnhof: 10 walking minutes.
Subway station Warschauer Strasse: 3 walking minutes.
Underground station Schlesisches Tor 7 walking minutes.
Bus stop in front of the hotel.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas only and is free of charge.
