The Hotel Bredeney, being the biggest hotel of the city, is only 1 km away from the fairgrounds of Essen and only 5 km from the city centre / main station. As an elegant first-class hotel, located at the edge of the Essen city-forest, provides 293 comfortable rooms and suites.
Furthermore we offer 220 parking spaces to our guests, directly in front of the hotel (EUR 5 / 24 hours). Even the fairgrounds of Düsseldorf and the airport are reachable within 20 minutes by car due to our direct autobahn connexion (A40/A52).

International cocktails and snacks are served in our "Bistro", where football fans enjoy all Champions League and UEFA Cup games on a large-screen version.

All who prefere a rustic and sociable atmosphere will love the newly opened beer bar "Gießerei". End your day with a fresh drawn beer and tasty snacks in a very special atmosphere.

Area information

In summer time there are various jogging pathes starting at the hotel. The close lake Baldeneysee offers almost all kinds of water sports.
The hotel is situated in quiet location in the exclusive quarter Essen-Bredeney, in only 1 km distance to the fair trade centre (bus connection directly from the hotel or 15 walking minutes).

The airport Dusseldorf is only 25 driving minutes away.

In central location we offer the perfect starting point for excursion to all sights of Essen and its interessting surrounding.

By car:
* From Düsseldorf/Köln/Frankfurt via A52:
Exit Essen-Haarzopf/Margaretenhöhe. Straight on. At the 2. traffic light turn right to Theodor-Althoff-Straße.
* From Bremen/Hannover/Dortmund via A40:
Coming from A40 cange to A52 to Dusseldorf. After 4 km: take the exit Essen-Haarzopf/Margaretenhohe. At the traffic light turn left to Theodor-Althoff-Strasse.
* From Duisburg/Oberhausen via A40:
Exit Mulheim-Heissen. Turn right to Frohnauser Strasse that changes to Velauer Strasse and later to Hatzperstrasse. Turn left to Theodor-Althoff-Strasse.
* 220 parkings directly at the hotel(EUR 5/day)

By public transport:
*From Essen main station by underground (U-Bahn U11 direction:Messe-Gruga) till terminal stop. Continue by Bus 142 (direction: Kettwig) to the stop Sommerburgstrasse (2 stops).

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms only and costs EUR 5.00 per hour.
