Short description

Our hotel, ideally located for trips to town or the Black Forest, has won several awards for our environmental endeavours; the entire hotel uses renewable energy only.
Some rooms offer a view of Colombipark.
We are located in the heart of Freiburg, just a short stroll from the main railway station and the historic city centre. Guests are entitled to free use of the city's buses and trains, as well as free entry to the nearby sauna and swimming pool.

Room information

We offer modern or classic rooms. On request we can provide you with air conditioning, quiet rooms, non-smoking rooms or rooms suitable for allergy sufferers. Our restored hotel, built in 1875, offers modern guest rooms with stucco details and high quality parquet flooring.
Our cosy business rooms are situated at the back of the hotel and are particularly quiet.

Food and beverages

The hotel does not provide its own restaurant, but numerous good eating establishments can be found in the immediate vicinity. Our cocktail bar Hemingway offers over 100 different cocktails as well as regional wines.

Area information

Freiburg lies in the warmest area of Germany, the Breisgau region, and offers good transport links. Discover the historic Old Town located just a few minutes from the hotel, with its cathedral and the famous Bächle brook which runs through the pedestrian area.

The surrounding area also offers a variety of attractive destinations, including lake Titisee, Schauinsland mountain and the Kaiserstuhl hills.

Tourists information

Arriving by car:
- Exit the A5 motorway at Freiburg-Mitte.
- Follow the signs to Bahnhof/Konzerthaus.
- Turn right by the railway station to enter Eisenbahnstraße.
- You will find our hotel on the right-hand side, next to the main post office.

Arriving by public transport:
- Travel to the intercity railway station Freiburg.
- Opposite the main exit you find the road Eisenbahnstraße.
- Our hotel is located at the far end of the road, directly opposite the Colombipark on the right-hand side.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 16.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 14.00 per person.

Parking: Private parking is possible on site and costs EUR 10.00 per day.

Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
