The Aussen Alster Hotel is centrally located only 50 m from the river banks.
The train station, the CCH congress centre and the fairgrounds can be reached in a few minutes. The use of the boats and the bicycles are free of charge for guests.

This welcoming privately run hotel is the smallest private hotel in Hamburg. It has a historical white facade and is family run since many years. As we care about our guests we offer attentive service and attention to details. This can also be seen in the careful refurbishments and renovations that have been done in the past years.

The small Aussen Alster Hotel features 27 comfortable rooms that are modern and tastefully furnished with a clear and stylish design. The motto is form follows function - no plush or pomp - with modern colours predominating.

Food and beverages

One of the signs of a good hotel is an equally good restaurant. The "Schmilinsky" reflects the same commitment to quality and service as our hotel - in terms of both ambience and cuisine.
Guests will find our restaurant's italian menu modern and creative with emphasis upon freshness, simplicity and variety. With its limited number of tables and idyllic little garden, the "Schmilinsky" evokes an almost mediterranean aura of intimacy and graciousness that is so much appreciated by both our guests from out of town and local gourmets.

50m to the Aussen Alster, just a few minutes to the city, to the CCH Congress Centre and to the Hamburg Fair.

By public transport:
Coming from the train station:
- Take the exit Kirchenallee
- You will find the bus stop for the metro bus number 6 towards Borgweg on the other side of the street, at the turn Kirchenallee/Steindamm
- Continue to stop Gurlittstraße on the street Lange Reihe.
- Continue in this direction to the next crossing Lange Reihe / corner Schmilinskystraße and turn left
- Continue straight ahead until shortly before the river Alster - the hotel is locate on the right side.

Please contact the hotel if you are arriving later than 18:00.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Private parking is possible on streets nearby (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 14.00 per day.
