Our hotel, inside the wall of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a picturesque town dating back to the Middle Ages, is strongly connected to the history of the town.

Franconian hospitality at its best and already established for generations, the hotel offers traditional guest rooms and an event room for up to 80 people.

Right opposite the hotel is the Roeder Tower which is located near the well-known Gerlach blacksmith’s shop in the old town centre.

The idyllic old guest-house with its former brewery "Zum Breiterle" was acquired in the early 18th century by the last Hege-Riders, also called the "Bereiter", previously were in charge of the so-called "Landhege" of the old Free Town of Rothenburg and had their residence at the "hege-Riders' House" in the hospital's courtyard. This is the historical background of our house's name "Zum Breiterle"

In our resteraunt we serve typical Franconian meals and local bears and wine in a rural atmosphere.

Tourists information

From all directions, follow the sign "Stadtmitte" (city centre), entering the historic city through the Wuerzburg Gate / Galgen Gate".

Take the first street left (Rosengasse) until you reach the intersection at Rosengasse / Roedergasse. The hotel is located opposite the intersection on your left hand side.

Traffic is restricted on Saturday and Sunday. As a guest of our hotel you will have the permission to enter the old town.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas only and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Parking: Free Private parking is possible on site.
