Succumb to the unique charm of this former 13th-century patrician’s house, renovated with great care and at great expense. Here you can dream in rooms which once accommodated emperors and princes. Enjoy a view of 700-year-old timber-framed buildings and natural stone walls, and feel at ease in our generous, lovingly furnished guest rooms.

Room information

The majority of our guest rooms offer a view of the medieval Rothenburg, and two have a terrace with a terrific view of the town and the Taubertal Valley. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, telephone, safe and a large bathroom of antique marble with a cosmetics mirror and hairdryer.

Food and beverages

Included in the room rate is our extensive breakfast buffet from 08:00 until 10:00. Our restaurant and café are open from 10:30 until 22:00.

The restaurant offers down-to-earth yet refined Franconian and Bavarian cuisine, entirely created from fresh regional produce. Our chef is looking forward to spoiling you with international and regional specialities.

Our unique, atmospheric wine cellar is the perfect place in which to unwind with a glass of wine and/or a good meal, following an eventful day's exploration of Rothenburg and its living medieval history.

Area information

The hotel is centrally located, just a short stroll from the renaissance-era town hall with its 60-metre high tower, and close to the marketplace with its famous "Meistertrunk" clock.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
