The hotel is situated in the middle of the old town centre, close to the town wall which was constructed in 1380. Our hotel was built in the 17th century, and served as a residence for an aristocratic family until the ancestors of the current owners converted it to a hotel. Today we offer you all the comforts of a modern 3-star hotel.

The hotel offers 96 beds in cheerfully furnished rooms. Non-smoking rooms are available on request. In our 3-star double rooms we would also be happy to provide you with air conditioning (on request and according to availability).

Food and beverages

During the summer, you can enjoy watching the sunset from our garden, while savouring a glass of wine. Our cosy restaurant offers down-to-earth cuisine including Franconian specialities and seasonal dishes, aided by produce from our own butcher's.

Our various restaurant rooms lend themselves to travel groups, meetings and parties.

Area information

Located above the romantic Taubertal valley you find the former imperial town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The hotel is situated in the middle of the old town centre. All of the attractions of this medieval town can be reached on foot. We would be happy to help you organise guided tours, hikes and excursions of every kind.

Sights and attractions: the town hall, the town wall with its battlements and fortifications, St.Jakobskirche with its high altar and Riemenschneider altars, the medieval fortress church St.Wolfgang, the Franciscan Church, and numerous museums.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.
