This centrally situated hotel is ideally suited for the individual business traveller, tourists and small groups. Despite its 200 beds the hotel still feels very private. The 3-star rating is due to some rooms being on the small side but the service rating is clearly 4-star quality. Family Kleinhuis has been running the hotel since the 1920's. Since the current owner Just Kleinhuis took over in the late 1980's the hotel has been completely modernised and now it is consistently updated to current standards.

The hotel features several upmarket meeting rooms and a very well-known wine restaurant.

The hotel features 6 conference rooms. The biggest room has a capacity for up to 60 people in theatre style.
Rooms can be connected for receptions with up to 150 people.

20 years ago Just Kleinhuis opened a wine bar at the back of the hotel. Now the Kleinhuis Restaurant and Winebar has not only become one of the town's favourites but also provides an opportunity to mix with the locals. With about 16 000 bottles in the cellar wine is always high on the agenda. They are fresh and varied. For hotel guests we offer a 3-course menu of EUR 14.50 per person.

Quiet hotel in the centre of Hamburg.
Close to the Dammtor Bahnhof - one of Hamburgs main train stations the hotel is located in one of the more sophisticated parts of the city. The Opera, main shopping malls, the conference centre and the exhibition centre can be reached by foot within 10 minutes.
Visitors interested in the Museum für Völkerkunde and Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte or the Kunsthalle (art gallery) have access right around the corner of the hotel.
The Botanical Garden and the Alster lake are also close by. The hotel can easily be reached by train or car. The taxi ride from the airport will take approximately 20 minutes.

By train: Leave the train at the station Dammtor. Turn left towards the CCH and the city. Cross the bridge and turn left at the foot of the escalator. Then, walking along the Esplanade, you will find the hotel on your right hand side.

By plane: Take a taxi (20 min.) or the airport bus to Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there take the underground train to the stop Stephansplatz. Leave in direktion Esplanade and follow the road. The hotel is on your right hand side.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.
